Preheat oven to 180C (360F) 2. In a large bowl, mash bananas, add peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir until incorporated and smooth. Add oats and chocolate chips, stir until combined. 3. Roll into balls, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Slightly flatten with. 4. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Maple & chocolate chip oatmeal cookies: Ingredients: 1¼ cups (100g) quick oats 3/4 cup (90g) flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons coconut oil 1½ teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup (106g) maple syrup 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 340F (170C). 2. In a large bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. 3. In other bowl whisk together egg, maple syrup, coconut oil and vanilla extract. 4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Add the chocolate chips and give a last stir. 5. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes. Roll into balls. place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Slightly flatten. 5. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until lightly browned. Applesauce oatmeal cookies: 350g (12.34 oz) unsweetened applesauce 2 cups (160g) quick oats 1/4 cup (30g) dried cranberries 2 tablespoons desiccated coconut 1 teaspoon cinnamon Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 340F (170C). 1. In a large bowl whisk together oats, desiccated coconut, cinnamon and dried cranberries. 2. Add applesauce and stir until incorporated. 3. Roll into balls, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 4. Bake for 18-20 until lightly browned. Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long, but I am finally back with a new video! Today it’s soft banana cookies! I was looking for a new way to use up my single ripe banana and I really wanted to try these out when I found them on a cooking blog! Hope you guys enjoy! Recipe adapted from: Ingredients: about 20 cookies 1/4 cup (56 g) softened butter 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar 1/2 beaten egg 1 ripe banana 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon cloves A pinch of salt Chocolate chips/chunks – as much as you like (optional) 1. Cream butter and sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy. 2. Add the beaten egg and continue whisking until combined. 3. In a separate bowl, mash the banana with a fork. 4. Add the baking soda and mix in. Let it sit for 2 minutes. 5. In a small bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. 6. Moving back to the butter mixture, add the mashed banana and fold it in with a spatula. 7. Add the flour mixture and continue folding until a soft dough forms. 8. Add chocolate chips/chunks if you like! 9. Scoop up tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet. 10. Banana Oat Breakfast Cookie recipe: Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to make banana oatmeal cookies for breakfast on the go! Perfect for running late, these healthy breakfast ideas incorporate the yummy taste of banana cookies and the nutritious fiber from oats. Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees and lightly coat two cookie sheets with light non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl with 1/2 cup of mashed banana, add 1/2 cup of chunky, natural peanut butter to give these breakfast cookies a more down-to-earth taste. Then add in 1/2 cup of honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. In a separate mixing bowl with 1 cup of rolled oats, stir to combine 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup of non-fat dry milk powder, 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until the banana oatmeal cookies are well-incorporated. To give these oatmeal breakfast cookies even more of a fruit explosion, stir in 1 cup of dried cranberries or raisins. Use a 1/4 cup measure to drop mounds of the dough 3 inches apart from one another on the baking sheets. Dip a thin metal spatula into water to flatten the cookies to 2 3/4-inch round and 1/2-inch thick breakfast cookies. Bake one sheet of cookies at a time until they're browned, which should take 14 to 16 minutes per sheet. These easy breakfast ideas will keep for three days in an airtight container for easy access, or you can freeze them for up to two months for a healthy breakfast whenever you'd like.
