Butterfly Swirl Soap with Hanger Swirl - Homemade Soap

Butterfly Swirl Handmade Soap with Hanger Swirl Pattern Diagram - using Natural Colorants. The pattern I drew is just my best guess at trying Zahida's butterfly swirl, and it's the pattern I follow in the video. :) ***More Info Below*** Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and subscribing! :) The butterfly swirl was invented by Zahida of Handmade in Florida. Here are some links to her beautiful soaps and videos: Handmade in Florida’s YouTube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/HandmadeinFlorida/videos Handmade in Florida’s Blog - http://handmadeinflorida.blogspot.com/ In case you’re interested, I have an affiliate store where I’ve listed all of the soap making supplies and materials that I purchase on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/shop/kapiamerasoapcompany If you use those links to buy anything, it won’t cost you anything extra, but I will receive a very small percentage of the sale. Every little bit helps, though, so thank you very much if you do! :) Ever since I first saw Zahida’s beautiful butterfly swirls and then all of the beautiful soaps from the Great Cakes Butterfly Swirl Challenge, I’ve wanted to try one myself. I watched Zahida’s videos and also purchased the Great Cakes Butterfly Swirl lesson tutorial in an attempt to learn as much as possible before I tried one. My first attempt produced a pretty swirl but nothing even close to a butterfly. I ended up drawing a hanger swirl pattern on paper that I could follow while making the soap, and that helped tremendously. The pattern was my best guess at how I could accomplish the butterfly swirl. You can find that diagram in the video at about 2:05. I also poured my soap at a medium trace instead of a light trace. I think that helped the colors stand out and not blend together too much. Thanks for watching! This was a fun one to make! The fragrance is a dupe of "Black Cashmere", and it smells fantastic! Activated charcoal, and some mica make for a fantastic color contrast in the hanger swirl.
