Let me know in the comments and don't forget to subscribe and I'll love you forever and ever! ♡♡♡ THE INSTRUCTIONS! ♡♡♡ DIY Tufted Headboard You will need: -Foam poster boards or cardboard, about 3' high and the width of your bed (twin:38", queen 60”, king: 76" wide) -Packing tape/duct tape -Scissors -Batting, Queen-King size with medium-hi loft, for a thick, plush look, in fabric section of most craft stores or online (I got mine for $12 from Joann's Craft store with a 60% off coupon: https://amzn.to/2C5H4fz -Fabric of your choice, 2 yards (I got mine for $6 from Joann's Craft store with a 60% off coupon!): https://www.joann.com/roc-lon-budget-blackout-ivory-white/7962640.html#q=black%2Bout%2Bcurtain&start=1 -Iron -Measuring tape/pen -Needle and upholstery/heavy duty thread: https://amzn.to/2LMqyAJ -Glue gun, optional -Crystal Upholstery Buttons, 25mm (22 total, 4 rows of 5, 6, 5, 6. I got a pack for $7.40): https://amzn.to/2PUDR5d -Velcro for attaching to the wall Directions: Tape poster boards or cardboard together, so it is about 4' tall and the width of your bed )For my queen bed, I did four 20"x30" poster boards from the 99c store, taped together) Cut into any shape, if desired. I cut scallops out of the top corners Layer the batting on top and loosely tape down to the back of the poster Iron your fabric, to get out any wrinkles and tape over the batting, to the back of the poster Use a measuring tape or ruler, to mark on the back of the poster, where you want your buttons to be (I did 7" in between each button vertically and 8" in between horizontally, to create a tufted diamond pattern) Sew tufts up through the poster/batting/fabric and back down, pulling fairly tight, to create the tufted look, knotting at the back (I also put packing tape over each knot on the back of the poster for extra security) Sew or hot glue your buttons on top of each tuft Glue scrap pieces of poster on to back, to attach velcro strips Stick to wall ♡♡♡ MY FAVE PRODUCTS! ♡♡♡ Links to my favorite products and PINK kitchen supplies from my videos: https://www.amazon.com/shop/lindsayannbakes ♡♡♡ SAY HI @TheLindsayAnn! ♡♡♡ YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/TheLindsayAnn INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/TheLindsayAnn FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/TheLindsayAnn PINTEREST: https://pinterest.com/TheLindsayAnn TWITTER: https://twitter.com/TheLindsayAnn BLOG (recipes, tutorials, etc): www.TheLindsayAnn.com ✨BUSINESS/COLLAB INQUIRIES: LindsayAnn@LindsayAnnBakes.com ♡♡♡ ABOUT ME! ♡♡♡ Hey guys, I'm Lindsay, Recipe/DIY/Lifestyle YouTuber & Blogger from Los Angeles. Find me @TheLindsayAnn on social media & say hi or tag YOUR re-creations! ♡♡♡ THE RECIPE! ♡♡♡ No Bake Gender Reveal Cake Yield: 6-inch cake Crispy Cake: 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter 2 (10 oz.) packages mini marshmallows 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/8 teaspoon salt 10 cups crispy rice cereal, regular or cocoa flavored Frosting and Filling: 1 1/2 cup (3 stick/12oz) unsalted butter, softened 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon salt 6 cups (1 1/2lb) powdered sugar, sifted 1/3-1/2 cup heavy whipping cream blue and pink food coloring Decoration: clear vanilla extract: https://amzn.to/2RZSu7U edible gold lustre dust: https://amzn.to/2DpxEdP assorted candy, cookies, lollipops and sprinkles (to "paint" gold) with a food safe paintbrush Directions Crispy Cake: Line three 6-inch round cake pans with plastic wrap and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Melt butter in a large saucepan and stir in marshmallows over low heat, stirring until just melted (Or melt butter and marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl, on HIGH for 3-4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Pour over cereal in a large mixing bowl, mixing gently until cereal is well coated. Divide mixture between prepared pans. Press down with greased hands until flat and level, making sure the mixture is pressed into the corners of the pan. Place in fridge to cool until set, about 30 minutes. Decorations: Mix together a few drops of vanilla extract and edible gold lustre dust to form a paint. Brush onto candies and sprinkles, until fully covered in gold. Let dry on a paper towel. Frosting & Filling: With an electric mixer, beat the softened butter on medium-high speed until light and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in vanilla and salt. Add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, starting on on low and increasing to medium, until fully incorporated, scraping down sides and bottom of bowl as needed. Add cream, a few tablespoons at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Scrape down bottom and sides of bowl. Increase to medium-high speed and beat for an additional 3-5 minutes until smooth, light and fluffy. Split frosting in half, keeping one half of frosting white, for frosting the outside of the cake. Using pink and blue food coloring, dye 1/3 of the remaining half of frosting opposite of what the gender is, for decoration on the outside. Dye the last 2/3 of frosting the color of the gender reveal, for the surprise filling on the inside and decoration on the outside. Assemble: Place 1 krispies treat layer on a plate or cake stand. Spread a layer of filling on top (the color of the gender reveal) and smooth with an off set spatula. Repeat with the second layer, saving some for decoration on the outside. Position the third layer, flat side up, on top, unfrosted. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the white frosting. Add small, random dots of pink and blue frosting around the cake and use a cake spatula or bench scraper to smooth, creating a blended effect. Immediately add sprinkles and candy to decorate. Note: This is best made and served the same day, but will store in an air tight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. ♡♡♡ MY FAVE PRODUCTS! ♡♡♡ Links to my favorite products from my videos: https://www.amazon.com/shop/thelindsayann ♡♡♡ SAY HI @TheLindsayAnn! ♡♡♡ YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/TheLindsayAnn INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/TheLindsayAnn FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/TheLindsayAnn PINTEREST: https://pinterest.com/TheLindsayAnn TWITTER: https://twitter.com/TheLindsayAnn BLOG (recipes, tutorials, etc): www.TheLindsayAnn.com ✨BUSINESS/COLLAB INQUIRIES: LindsayAnn@LindsayAnnBakes.com ♡♡♡ ABOUT ME! ♡♡♡ Hey guys, I'm Lindsay, Recipe/DIY/Lifestyle YouTuber & Blogger from Los Angeles.
