In this video I show you more sonoff wifi smart switch models such as the Sonoff S20, POW, and TH16. Learn how to use these smart switches in your home automation setup. FAQ: 1) Is this compatible with iOS (iPhone) devices? Yes, the iOS eWeLink app can be found at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ewelink-smart-home-control/id1035163158?mt=8 2) Is this compatible with Amazon echo (Alexa)? Yes, a tutorial can be found at https://www.itead.cc/blog/ewelink-works-with-alexa-tutorial 3) I have an extension cord/appliance that has three prongs (live, neutral, ground). How do I wire up the sonoff? Any appliance or device that has a metal chassis needs the ground wire to be considered safe. Appliances that have plastic chassis are safe (in the US) with only live and neutral. If you need the ground wire, I would suggest getting the Sonoff Pow model which has three terminals to accommodate the ground wire. https://www.itead.cc/sonoff-pow.html. 4) I don't feel safe having to modify an extension cord. Is there a sonoff switch that I can just plug right into the wall and use? Yes, it can be found here https://www.itead.cc/smart-socket.html 5) Where can I buy these for less than $5 and how long does shipping take? The Sonoff can be purchased from the manufacturer's website. The price before shipping (at the time of this video) is $4.85. I believe they ship from China which may take several weeks to arrive where you live. I ordered several that took about 2 weeks to arrive in the US. "Home automation" may sound like a future concept from the Jetson's, but it's here and Lowes is helping to make it affordable right now! This week Mario Armstrong is testing out the Lowes Iris smarthome kit which starts at $179. Three versions of the starter kit are available, and they contain everything you need to start controlling your home (and your energy bill) straight from any computer, smartphone or tablet!

Step by step DIY 3 way switch installation instructions for your GE or Leviton Z-wave smart switch. Smart home automation would not be complete without a 3 way switch. Today we will go through the details of installing a zwave 3 way dimmer switch. The instructions are the same for a non-dimming zwave 3 way switch installation. Light and fans are often controlled with three-way switches, so if you are installing smart switches, this will be a must.
