PUFFED RICE AND VEGETABLE SAMOSA

Awesome cocktail chinese samosas are very famous snack item. These cute looking triangle shaped samosas also known as pocket samosa are fully stuffed with puffed rice, cabbage, bell pepper, carrot, green peas etc....which make it a healthy snack. http://www.vahrehvah.com/puffed-rice-and-vegetable-samosa Ingredients: All-purpose flour 2 Cup Whole wheat flour 1 Cup Salt To taste Oil 1 Teaspoons Water 1 Cup Directions: 1. In a mixing bowl, for stuffing add 2-3 tbsp finely chopped cabbage, 1-2 finely chopped bell pepper, finely chopped 1 carrot, finely chopped 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped 1/2 tsp garlic, finely chopped 1/2 tsp ginger, 2 tbsp finely chopped greens of spring onion, 1-2 tbsp green peas, pinch of MSG, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1/2 tsp of soya sauce. 2. Add little salt, 1 bowl puffed rice and mix well. Rest this stuffing for 2 minutes. 3. For making the outer casing of samosa, take 2 cups of all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of whole wheat flour, little salt, and oil. Add little water, mix and make soft dough. 4. Cover the dough with a wet cloth and rest it for 15-20 minutes. 5. Divide the dough into smaller portions and again cover and rest it for 15 minutes. 6. Spread some flour on the table and with help of the rolling pin, roll the dough into a very thin sheet. 7. Heat a tawa and once the tawa is really hot, place the roti and just fry it on both sides for just few seconds. 8. Remove and trim the edges and cut them into long strips. Cut the long sheet into two and wrap them in a wet cloth. 9. Take a thin sheet and fold the sheet in triangle shape and stuff the mixture inside. Apply some maida paste on one side of the sheet and seal the edges well. 10. Deep fry these samosas in hot oil until they are crisp and golden in color. 11. Serve hot with garlic tomato sauce. Sprinkle over the flour and mix with a wooden spoon to create a roux. Cook out the roux for about 2 minutes, stirring. Add the milk gradually, mixing well in between each addition to remove any lumps. Continue cooking the sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and leave to cool for a few minutes. Season boiling water with salt and add the macaroni, cook according to package instructions. Start to add the cheese gradually to the sauce, reserving some for sprinkling over the top. Drain the macaroni and add to the sauce. Mix well and pour into a baking dish. Top with leftover cheese and place into a 200C or 400F oven for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden. The stuffing includes the potatoes, onions, peas, coriander etc. The samosa often served with tamarind chutney or curd.Onion samosa, popularly known as Irani samosa is a stuffed pastry and popular in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Arabian Peninsula, Southwest Asia, North and South Africa. It is generally fried in triangular shape with a savory filling. The stuffing includes the potatoes, onions, peas, coriander etc. The samosa often served with tamarind chutney or curd. http://www.vahrehvah.com/onion-samosa Ingredients 1 cup Atta (Wheat Flour) 1/2 tsp chatmasala. 1 tsp chilli powder 1 bunch coriander leaves 1/2 tsp cumin powder 3 number green chillis 1 cup maida to fry Oil 1 cup onions 1 cup poha as needed 0 salt as needed 0 water Directions ● Take a bowl add maida,atta,salt, 1 tsp oil mix well then add water to make a soft dough rest it for 10min. ● Now in another bowl,take onions chopped,poha,chilli powder,cumin powder,green chillis chopped,oriander ,chat masala mix well. ● In a small bowl add 1tsp of maida mix with some water and make a paste keep a side. ● Now take the dough make a thin chapaties and take a pan slightly cook the chapatis both the sides do not cook more. ● Once chapaties are ready cut the chapati sheets into long triangle shape. ● Now apply maida paste one side of the sheet make a cone shape stuff the mixture in the cone then close the edge. ● In a pan add oil to deep fry, first half fry and remove then after 5min fry again till golden colour .
