Get your free recipe e-book: http://thechiclife.com/free-recipe-e-book (20 of my most popular, mostly healthy, recipes!) This video walks you through how to make creamy and delicious oatmeal on the stove. First, I'll explain the basic ingredients, including why I prefer using old fashioned rolled oats over instant. And I explain why I like to use non-dairy milk for making oatmeal on the stove. I use almond milk. Then we move on to the cooking. You'll learn how many parts of oats to milk to water to use. I set a stopwatch and show you exactly how long it takes to cook oatmeal on the stove. After that, I share a simple topping idea (blueberries, sliced almonds, honey, and cinnamon). BASIC STOVETOP OATMEAL RECIPE FOR ONE Recipe: The basic recipe serves one person, but you can easily multiply it. I use honey, but vegan options are in the video and recipe (sub maple syrup or agave).
