Jeera Rice Resturant Style/Bengali Cuisine/Debjani Creations Tutorial

Ingridents:- 2 Cups Rice 2 Teaspoons Shah Cumin Seeds ( Shah Jeera ) 1 Bay Leaf (Tej Patta) 3 Cloves (Laung) 2 Green Cardamoms (Choti Elaichi) 1 Strand of Mace (Javitri) 1 1"Inch Stich of Cinnamon (Dalchini) 4 Cups Water 1 Tablespoon Oil/ Ghee Salt to Taste Preparation:- Wash the rice gently and soak in lukewarm water for about 20-30 minutes. Drain the water and set aside. Heat the oil/ ghee in a saucepan moderately. Oil is the right temperature. Add the Shah cumin seeds. When they crack, add all the whole spices red chili, cinnamon, bay leaves, and cardamom, stir for 2-3 mintues. Add the rice. Stir-fry 5 minute. Add the 4 cup water and salt bring to a boil, and turn the heat to low. Cover the pan. Cook 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water has evaporated. Turn off the heat add cilantro and fluff the rice. Jeera rice is ready, serve hot with Kadai Chicken.
