CORN WADA WITH SAGO SWEET - Mrs Vahchef

Mrs.Vahchef is very fond of cooking and her Recipes are very unique and fit for busy women specially working women Corn Vada, an Andhra style recipe makes for a wonderful evening snack with combination of sago sweet. INGREDIENTS: Corn(regular and hard) 1 nos Green chillies 2 nos Cumin seeds ½ tsp Salt To taste Onions 1 nos Oil To fry Sago(soaked for 30 mins) 1 cup Cardamom powder 1 pinch Jaggery ½ cup Milk 300 ml METHOD: 1. Take a mixie jar and add corn, green chillies, cumin seeds, salt and blend into a coarse paste. 2. Transfer into a bowl and add onions, mix nicely. 3. Take small dumpling and make round flat wada using hand and deep fry in oil until golden brown in colour. 4. Transfer paper towel later into serving plate. 5. For sago sweet: Take a pan and add sago and cook it. 6. To it add cardamom powder, jaggery, milk and mix nicely. 7. Transfer into serving bowl and place in vada plate, break vada into pieces and dip in sago sweet. 8. Now corn wada and sago sweet is ready to serve.

Ingredients:- 1 cup Yellow Corn (Boiled and half churned keeping 2 tbsp. Of it aside before churning) 1 tsp. Oil ½ tsp. Ginger paste ½ Capsicum, finely chopped ½ Carrot, finely chopped 2 tbsp. Whole corn 1 tbsp. Cashew nuts, chopped 1 tbsp. Raisins 4 Green chillies, finely chopped ½ tsp. Raw mango powder 1 tsp. Chaat Masala Breadcrumbs of 2 slices of bread 2 potatoes, boiled and mashed Salt to taste Method:- 1. In a pan heat oil and saute ginger paste in it for a few seconds. 2. Add the half churned corn and cook for few minutes and let it cool down to room temperature. 3. In a bowl mix together capsicum, carrot, whole corn, cashew nuts, raisins, green chillies, raw mango powder, chaat masala, bread crumbs, mashed potatoes and the corn. 4. With oil-greased palms shape this mixture into patties as shown in the video. 5. Coat with breadcrumbs and fry in oil until crisp and golden brown in colour 6. Serve with tomato ketchup! INGREDIENTS : Corn Kernels - 3 cups Onion - 1, medium, finely chopped Green chillis - 4 Ginger - 1'' Curry Leaves Salt to taste Rice flour -2 tsp Oil for deep frying Method : 1. Grind the corn kernels, green chilies, and ginger to a coarse paste 2. Remove to a bowl. Next add rice flour, chopped onions, coriander leaves, cumin seeds and salt and mix well. 3. Form lemon sized balls with the mixture. Flatten it on your palm to make a Patty shape. Prepare patties with the rest of the mixture. 4. Heat oil for deep frying. Once it is hot, reduce flame to medium and slowly place the patties in the oil and fry them on both sides to a golden brown color. Serve warm with tomato sauce or any chutney of your choice. Sweet corn vada
Take 2 medium sized sweet corns
Add 3 green chillies
Grind them as shown
Now add chopped 2 onions , few curry leaves and coriander
Add chopped 2 inch ginger
Add salt as required
Add 1 cup of rice flour and mix well until the batter becomes thick
Pour oil for deep fry
Now make vada as shown and fry them in the oil
Hot and crispy snacks recipe sweet corn vada ready
