From the home screen, press the App Tray button. Press the Directional buttons to navigate to the Settings app; then press the Select button. Press the Select button to select Wi-Fi. Press the Select button to select the Wi-Fi switch to turn it on or off. To optimize battery life, turn Wi-Fi off when not in use. Connect to a Wi-Fi Network. From the Wi-Fi screen, press the Down Directional button to scroll to the desired Wi-Fi network; then press the Select button. If necessary, enter the network password. Press the Directional buttons to navigate to "CONNECT"; then press the Select button. To connect to a hidden or unbroadcasted Wi-Fi network, press the Options button; press the Down Directional button to scroll to "Add network"; then press the Select button. You will need to enter the network SSID, security type, and password (if necessary) to continue. Press the Directional buttons to navigate to "SAVE"; then press the Select button. When the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon will be displayed in the notification bar. Data transmitted over a Wi-Fi network does not count towards your AT&T data plan and will not be billed. To forget a network, from the Wi-Fi screen, press the Down Directional button to scroll to the desired network; then press the Select button; press the Down Directional button to navigate to "FORGET"; then press the Select button. To access Wi-Fi settings, from the Wi-Fi screen, press the Options button; press the Down Directional button to scroll to "Advanced"; then press the Select button; edit Wi-Fi settings as desired. Create a Mobile Hotspot. Use your AT&T device as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot to share your data connection with Wi-Fi capable devices, such as smartphones, tablets, netbooks, MPplayers, and more; requires eligible data plan. From the settings screen, press the Down Directional button to scroll to "More"; then press the Select button; press the Down Directional button to highlight "Tethering & portable hotspot"; then press the Select button; press the Down Directional button to highlight "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot"; then press the Select button; press the Select button to select the portable Wi-Fi hotspot switch to turn it on. To change your mobile hotspot settings, such as the network name, password, or security, press the Down Directional button to highlight "Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot"; then press the Select button; enter the desired network name and password; when ready press the Directional buttons to navigate to "SAVE"; then press the Select button. Connected devices will be displayed on the portable Wi-Fi hotspot screen under CONNECTED DEVICES. To turn off mobile hotspot, press the Up Directional button to scroll to the portable Wi-Fi hotspot switch; then press the Select button.

Use the original charger to maintain optimal battery performance over the life of your device. The battery comes partially charged. If you are traveling and do not have access to mobile or Wi-Fi networks, switch to Airplane mode. Swipe down from the notification bar with two fingers, then select the Airplane mode icon.

How to Create & Manage User Accounts on Your Sonim XP8 | AT&T Wireless

User Accounts: Create a New User.
When you first set up your phone, you will automatically set up a profile.
To create a new profile, swipe down from the notification bar with two fingers.
Select the User icon.
Select "Add user".
Select "OK" to confirm.
Swipe to unlock the device.
Review the prompt, then select "Continue".
If you wish to pair your user account with Google, follow the prompts to log in to your Google account.
If you wish to continue without logging in to Google, select "SKIP".
If you would like to set up additional features, review the prompt and select the desired feature.
When ready, select "ALL SET".
Review the Accelerated Location prompt.
Select the Location Consent checkbox if desired.
Then select "NEXT".
Edit User.
By default only the main user account can make phone calls and send text messages.
To allow other users to make phone calls or send text messages, you must be logged in to the main user account.
Swipe down from the notification bar with two fingers.
Select the User icon.
Select "MORE SETTINGS".
Select the Settings icon next to the desired user profile to edit.
Select the "Turn on phone calls & SMS" switch.
Switch Users.
To switch users, swipe down from the notification bar with two fingers.
Select the User icon.
Select the desired user.
Delete User.
From the Users settings screen select the Settings icon next to the desired user.
Select "Remove user".
Select "DELETE" to confirm.
Change Language Preferences.
Every user profile has user specific settings.
To change the language preferences on the desired user profile, swipe down from the notification bar, then select the Settings icon.
Scroll to and select "Languages & input".
Select "Languages".
Select "Add a language".
Scroll to and select the desired language.
To rearrange the desired languages, select and drag the desired language to the desired location.
To remove a language preference, select the Delete icon.
Select the desired language to delete.
Then select the Delete icon.
Select "OK" to confirm.
