Charcoal Lavender Mint Soap - Dancing Funnel - Great Cakes Soap Challenge

Charcoal Lavender Mint Soap created using the Dancing Funnel Technique. LINK TO RECIPE BELOW. This is my entry for the August 2016 Great Cakes Soap Challenge. I stirred my soap for a very long time, pulsing the stick blender as I stirred. With this method and particular recipe, it took me quite a long time to reach an emulsion. By the time I hand stirred my essential oils and colors into the soap and then shook the squeeze bottles a bit, the soap was finally at a light trace. For more information on this soap (including the RECIPE), you can visit my blog post at: In case you’re interested, I have an affiliate store where I’ve listed all of the soap making supplies and materials that I purchase on Amazon: If you use those links to buy anything, it won’t cost you anything extra, but I will receive a very small percentage of the sale. Every little bit helps, though, so thank you very much if you do! :) Thank you so much for watching, commenting, liking, and subscribing! :) The dancing funnel technique was invented by Tatsiana Serko and Jelena Vasiljeva. Tatsiana was also our guest teacher this month. Both Tatsiana and Jelena are incredibly talented and make the most beautiful soaps. Cold Process Soap, Melt & Pour Clear Soap, Cold Process Embeds / Design Elements, Silicone Molds, Hard Plastic Molds, Extruded Cold Process Soap, Simple Soap Cane, Polymer Clay Techniques Adapted for Cold Process Soap. This piece started with the idea of making a vessel to hold what would look like water. From therre the idea evolved into a sea shell holding aquatic life and water. And of course the water had to be made of clear melt & pour soap. Fragrance oil: a dupe of Bobbie Browns "Beach". Any other fragrance just would not have worked for this piece.
